My Story

Since childhood, Maya has been interested in storytelling and history. When she is not writing, Maya can usually be found reading, listening to a podcast, or baking. She obtained her B.A. in English from Gonzaga University. Since then, she has had both creative and non-fiction works published.

Maya is bisexual and uses she/her pronouns. The Rainbow Book Blog originated as an outlet for her to explore her interests and share the results with like-minded people. After all, discussing books is half the fun! Before starting the blog, Maya’s friends and family often relied on her for book, show, and podcast recommendations.

The blog

As the name implies, the Rainbow Book Blog primarily revolves around queer books. Topics that will be covered include reviews, recommendations, as well as broader discussions related to queerness and/or writing. However, other types of media (of any orientation) may also appear here. Have a specific book that you want to see covered? I may be inspired to write about it!
